condition of the modular offices is fair to good. They were in use by United
Companies for 1 I years.
United Companies expects to sell or otherwise dispose of the modular offices at some
point in the future. At the present time there is no plan to use them again as offices at
the Dike Road site.
7. With a majority of the originally approved peninsula removed, the current pond
configuration appears to have a greater evaporative surface than originally
permitted. Please provide documentation from the Colorado Division of Water
Resources verifying that adequate water rights are in place for this additional
consumptive use.
I digitized the lake configuration that was originally approved for this permit. The
surface area of that lake configuration is 44.1 acres. I also digitized the surface area
for the existing lake using the map that was obtained from the Mesa County GIS
Department. This is the base map for the map attached to this Technical Revision
proposal. The existing lake's surface area is 38.1 acres. The existing lake is smaller
than previously approved by the Division. A Well Permit is in place for this gravel pit
lake.
Please contact me with any comments or questions.
Sincerely,
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
Attachments:
1. Photographs of the existing island (4 pictures)
2. Soil descriptions for the site. Riverwash and Green River very fine sandy loam
3. Revised Reclamation Map for this Technical Revision 2 proposal
