The pit is a terraced
gravel pit and mining has occurred so as to retain stormwater on site. Earlier this Spring,
the Division of Minerals and Geology inspected the Webb pit. In was later determined
that areas beyond the permit boundaries had been disturbed. Therefore in order to correct
the mining permit we are submitting a 112 application to the DMG for the pit area. We
are, however, renaming the pit to the Woodring Pit. Woodring is the name of the current
land owner.
As with the past operation it is our plan to continue retaining stormwater on site, thereby
precluding the need for a stormwater permit. In order to satisfy the DMG please
acknowledge our position on this matter.
Thank you for your attention to our request. Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincer ly,
nnis M. rt nd
Vice President
• cc: Division of Minerals and Geology (included in 112 application)
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
