Dear Ms. Ericksen,
Please find check # 4113452 to cover the fees listed above. I am sorry that the fee for the
Technical Revision was lumped with the Annual Fees for the mining and reclamation
permits. I hope that this will not cause the Division any problems.
The Annual Reports for the operations are attached.
The Technical Revision for Pit #3 will consist of including the Weed Management Plan
in the approved Mining and Reclamation Plans for the permit at the Paonia site. The
Weed Management Plan that United Companies will use for the site is attached and
should be inserted into the Reclamation Plan for the site when it is approved. Also, the
Reclamation Plan for the site will be changed to allow United Companies to plant
Narrowleaf Cottonwood rather than Russian Olive, the species that is currently approved
for use in reclamation planting. Narrowleaf Cottonwood is a native species that is found
in the Paonia area.
