Impacts to: (A) Surface Water or (B) Groundwater Systems: <br />(A) Relative to the United States Army Corps of Engineers' 2003 floodplain study <br />(which utilized 1995 topography and has not been officially adopted by Weld County or <br />FEMA), the cun•ent configuration of the dike raises water surfaces by no more than 0.3 <br />feet at the flood events evaluated (10-, 50-, 100-, and 500-year). Varra Companies, Inc. <br />will remove the east portion of the berm to return it to its approximate 1973 <br />configuration. The western portion of the dike (constructed pre-1995) along with the <br />Final Reclamation Plan will be evaluated in the Flood Control/Mitigation Plan relative to <br />the effective regulatory floodplain and floodway as promulgated by Weld County and the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency (See Response #16, 6.4.5 Exhibit F). <br />27. Floodway Designation & Flood Control Dike -Compliance with Rule 3.1.6: <br />A. Anderson Consulting Engineers, Inc. provides the following relevant and <br />available floodway designations and information for the Cache la Poudre River <br />near the Durham Pit: <br />1. Effective and Regulatory Information from FEMA <br />i. "Flood Insurance Study Weld County, Colorado ...", Revised: <br />September 27, 1991. <br />ii.
