Our responses are <br />presented and numbered following the ordering system in DMG's June 9a' , 2004 letter. <br />Four copies of each exhibit, for inclusion with these responses, are attached to this memo. <br />6.4.5 EXIIIBTT E -Reclamation Plan <br />16. Flood ControllMitigation Plan: <br />A Flood Control/Mitigation Plan will be prepared by Anderson Consulting Engineers, <br />Inc. The plan will include: a) final site reclamation grading; b) final grading and design <br />details for any portion, if any, of the dike to remain in place; and c) final grading and <br />design details for any controlled spill locations. The plan will include recommendations <br />and details for erosion control on the site including: a) at selected locations along the <br />right bank of the Cache la Poudre River on Varra Companies, Inc. property; b) at any <br />controlled spill locations; and c) along the edges of the proposed reclaimed pond if <br />required. <br />The following process is recommended for the completion the Flood Control/Mitigation <br />Plan: <br />A. Develop a preliminary Flood Contro]/Mitigation Plan. The plan will include <br />preliminary design concepts and costs for mitigating identified flooding issues <br />(i.e., lowering the berm and/or controlled spill structures) and erosion issues (i.e., <br />bank protection, grade controls, etc.); <br />B. Perform hydraulic analyses in support of the Flood Control/Mitigation Plan; <br />C. Submit the hydraulic analyses and Flood ControUMitigation Plan in the form of a <br />Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) to Weld County and FEMA for <br />their conditional review; <br />COVC03 ACE 2nd Adequacy Rvw Commrnts mml.doc 7/6/2004 <br />
