SCHMIT, P.E. <br />Director <br />Arapahoe County Engineering thanks you for the opportunity to review this Reclamation Permit for the <br />Schmidt Construction Company Coal Creek Resources, Permit No. M-1988-044. Arapahoe County <br />Engineering has reviewed the Permit and has the following comments. <br />This mining operation will be required to go through the Arapahoe County's review and approval process <br />for a Use by Special Review (USR) case (a four to six month process from the date of formal application). <br />This process was described in a letter to the applicant on December 22, 2005 and is attached to this letter. <br />In addition to the requirements stated in that letter, the applicant will be required to provide and obtain <br />approval of a Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control (GESC) Report and Plans (see Arapahoe County's <br />Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control Manual). After an initial review of the mining permit application, <br />the mining process and reclamation does not follow County criteria for land disturbances.
