Item No. 21 <br />In your response to this item, Holcim committed to re-vegetate according to the CO-ECS-S form <br />included with the original amendment application. That form includes the original proposed <br />grass seed mix. Correct your response to include the seed mix agreed to in your response to Item <br />No. 13 above. <br />Exhibit G -Water Information <br />Item No. 31 <br />Your response to this item is that Holcom is proposing a new alignment for the permanent <br />relocation of the reach of Bear Creek that crosses the mine area. The Division has reviewed <br />Holcim,s plans to relocate Bear Creek and has identified the following items that need to be <br />clarified or addressed fixrther. <br />(a) For the berms shown on Figure 9, explain what material will be used to construct them <br />and how it will be compacted. <br />(b) In regard to the dissipation structure- <br />Was the need for a filter layer evaluated? If it was and it was determined that a filter layer <br />was not necessary, provide your basis for such a decision. If Holcim determines that a <br />filter layer is needed provide a description of the material to be used and the limits of the <br />filter material with respect to both the base and rip-rap material. <br />(c) How far does the rip-rap layer extend below the culvert outlet? <br />(d) What flow velocity was used to determine the size of the rip-rap material? <br />(e) Will the rip-rap structure remain after the site is reclaimed? <br />Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs <br />Item No. 33 <br />The Division is reviewing your response to this item. <br />
