Phase IVb Week11- Summan° No. ?2 Pale 2 003-2203 <br />Ames exposed approximately 100 linear feet of geomembrane liner at the Phase IVb /Phase III tie-in <br />by removing previously placed Drain Cover Fill (DCF). <br />Ames completed placement ofHVSCS secondary and tertiary piping within the Phase IVb PSSA and <br />continued placement in the OSA, followed by DCF placement per project plans. Ames completed haul <br />and placement of DCF onto the Phase IVb PSSA upper geomembrane in the central portion of the <br />PSSA, and continued in the Phase IVb OSA north of the PSSA near the LOB. Ames began placement <br />of DCF in the Phase IVb OSA adjacent to the Phase IVa tie-in. <br />Ames hauled and placed ore in the Phase IVb PSSA and OSA for haul road construction in the eastern <br />portion ofthe PSSA and adjacent to the LOB. <br />Ames backfilled approximately 400 feet of Leak Detection Trench (LDT) on the south slope of <br />Substation Hill in the Phase Nb OSA area. <br />Ames continued production of DCF at the screen plant located near the secondary crusher. Ames <br />resumed production of SLF. <br />Ames continued construction of the vertical risers in the Phase IW PSSA sump, per project plans. <br />Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Soil Liner Fill (SLF) material into the Phase IVb OS.A, on the <br />south slope of Substation Hill. Rain-damaged SLF material was either removed and replaced, or <br />reworked and retested. <br />Ames hauled and placed Bedding FIlI (BF) material into the Phase IVb OSA on the Phase III ore slope <br />adjacent to the east end 'perm in preparation for geomembrane deployment. <br />Poly-Flex continued deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase <br />FiTb OSA Geomembrane was placed in the Phase IVb OS.9 on the sou±h slope of Substation Hill, near <br />the Phase IVa/IVb and Phase IlI/IVb tie-ins. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE <br />geomembrane over an area of approximately 250,830 square feet in the Phase 1ST OSA during this <br />reporting period. Geomembrane panels B-184 through 8-250 were deployed, seamed, and tested by <br />Poly-Flex Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-57 through DFb-75, and DXb-14 <br />t'~.rough D~'b-: ~ were marked and removed D°su1~ iF'e ~.-S.On and °xt"uSl.^,7 $oa-.n feel ap~r41 ghe2r tests <br />on 80-mil single-sided Textured LLDPE_geomembrane deployed during this reporting period passed per <br />project specificatiors. <br />Poly-Flex deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE aeomembrane in the Phase iVh OSA adjacent to the east <br />end berm on the Phase III ore slope. Poly-Flex deployed i00-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane over an <br />area of approximately 7,616 square feet in the Phase IVb OSA during this reporting period. <br />Geomemhrane panels B-208 through B-213 were deployed, seamed, and tested by Poly-FIex. <br />Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-63 through DFb-64 and DXb-17 were marked and <br />removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests on 100 .mil smooth LLDPE <br />geomembrane deployed during this reporting period passed per project specincations.
