EXHIBIT H
Wildlife Information
The current wildlife in the general azea of the site is described in the Hokestra Pit original permit
and amendment documents. Due to the nature of the site, with I-25 to the west and other mining
operations throughout the azea, previous seasonal use of the area by wildlife has long since been
disrupted. Any further impact to the wildlife communities resulting from this project is expected
to be minimal or insignificant.
Mining and reclamation activities will take into account the safety and protection of wildlife
on-site and will only temporarily impact wildlife. Some species may be temporazily displaced
by the mining activities, but are expected to re-establish with no difficulty after the reclamation
has been completed.
The proposed reclamation plan is for developed water resources. The creation of the reservoirs
may create opportunities for aquatic birds, mammals, and fish.
~~~~~ A~ i
~~
SEP 21 200S
Division of Reclamaticn,
Nnning end S~;ety
Weld Com:ty Xokesba Pit
OMG 112 Permit Amemiment
Page !7
