See subsection 208.04(d) for disturbed azea limits. <br />46 <br />47 201.03 Method of Measurement. Measurement will be by one of the following methods: <br />48 <br />49 (a) Area Basis. The work to be paid for will be the number of acres acceptably cleared and <br />50 grubbed, including scalping, within the limits shown on the plans or stab:ed by the Engineer. <br />51 <br />52 (b) Lump Sum Basis. When the Contract contains a clearing and grubbing Iump sum item, no <br />53 measurement will be made. <br />54 <br />55 201.04 Basis of Payment. The accepted quantities of clearing and grubbing will be paid for <br />56 at the contract unit prices as follows: <br />57 <br />58 (a) Area Basis. The quantities will be paid for at the contract unit price bid per acre for each pay <br />59 item that appears in the bid schedule. <br />60 <br />61 (b} Lump Sum Basis. When the bid schedule contains a lump sum item, t:he lump sum price so <br />62 bid will be paid and shall be full compensation for cleazing and grubbing the entire project. <br />63 <br />64 Clearing and grubbing beyond the limits designated under this item will be paid for as Extra <br />65 Work in accordance with subsection 104.03. <br />66 <br />67 Payment will be made under: <br />68 <br />69 Pay Item Pay Unit <br />70 Clearing Acre Lump Sum <br />71 Grubbing Acre Lump Sum <br />72 cleazing and Grubbing Acre Lump Sum <br />73 <br />74 (c) Exclusions.
