M-1983-102 <br />THIS MATTER came before the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd ("Boazd") on <br />February 14, 2007, in Denver, Colorado for a hearing to consider the request of Thompson <br />Properties ("Applicant") for a Section 112 Reclamation Permit amendment. The file <br />number in this matter is M-1983-102. Steve O'Brian appeazed on behalf of the Applicant. <br />Jill Hansen and Sharon Spurlin appeazed as party objectors ("Objectors"). Rick Wenzel and <br />Tanya Light, Esq. appeazed on behalf of the Division of Mining, Reclamation and Safety <br />("Division"). <br />The Board, having considered the parties' presentations and having been otherwise fully <br />informed of the facts in this matter, hereby enters the following Findings of Fact, Conclusions of <br />Law and Order: <br />The Applicant seeks approval of a Section 112c Reclamation Permit amendment <br />authorizing the extraction of gravel on an existing 50-acre site located in Section 31, <br />Township 2 North, Range 76 West, 6`" P.M. in Grand County, Colorado. The permit <br />amendment would increase the permitted acreage to 69.62 acres by adding 19.69 <br />additional acres. The site is known as the Thompson Resource Pit and is located <br />approximately one-half mile northwest of Granby, Colorado. The Applicant proposes to <br />change the post-mining ]and use from rangeland to industriaUcommercial. <br />2. The Applicant filed a Section 112 Reclamation Permit amendment application with the <br />Division on September 13, 2006.
