Exhibit G -Water Information
Water information for this site, contained in the original permit application materials,
remains accurate. The proposed access route will not impact local groundwater or
surface water. Tf water is needed for dust control on the access road, it will be acquired
via a hydrant permit from the South Adams Counn~ Water and Sanitation District.
Exhibit H -Wildlife Information
A recent search of the Colorado Natural Heritage Program's (CNHP) Biological and
Conservation Data System for occurrences of significant natural communities and raze,
threatened or endangered plants and animals did not reveal the presence of any such
natural heritage resources within Section 35 of Township 1 South, Range 67 -the section
through the proposed access route will pass. The Letter report of June 12, 2002 from the
CNHP is attached to this Exhibit.
The mining area currently covered by DMG Permit No. M-2001-085, as well as the area
proposed for addition to the permitted azea by this Application for Amendment, both lie
within a "block clearance zone" of the Denver metro area for the federally listed,
threatened Preble's meadow jumping mouse. The "block cleazance zone," as designated
by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is an area where that agency has determined that
the species in question is no longer likely to exist.
The proposed access route will not pass through any prairie dog colonies or any other
area of significant wildlife activity. This land is Ievel and dry and has historically been
used for agricultural use.
Application to Amend - 5 - 124` Estates Partners, LLC
DMG 112 Reclamation Permit M-2001-085 124`" Estates Sand and Gravel Mine
Scott Keen -September 2002 Henderson, Colorado
