Corey Pit No. 3
DMG t 12 Pernut Conversion Application
EXHIBIT H -Wildlife Information
This property has been cultivated farmland for many years. Wildlife consists of birds, small
mammals and reptiles found in and around agricultural activity.
a) The most significant wildlife on the property is songbirds, rabbits, and pheasants and
quail. There also are a variety of snakes and small rodents. Deer, raccoons, skunks,
foxes and coyotes occasionally cross the property.
b) The cultivated fields have not been planted in several years and are used by ground
nesting birds such as pheasants and quail in the spring.
c) There are no threatened or endangered species on this site.
d) This operation will have little effect on wildlife since most of the property has been
regularly disturbed by agricultural activity and mining. Animals using the areas of active
mining will be displaced until mining and reclamation aze completed. The steep slopes
along Mexican Gulch provide excellent cover for wildlife. A small amount of this area
will be disturbed during the mining operation.
