This land is currently in an old field stage where it is slowly <br />being invaded by native species. The land was formerly irrigated pasture and currently is <br />dominated by annual weeds. Revegetation of this area will require a combination of <br />planting adapted native species, along with a few introduced species, and intensive weed <br />control primarily implemented by mowing. After topsoiling this area, the following <br />mixture will be planted. A similar mixture will also be applied to other portions of the <br />site, in particular the water reservoir slopes, whether water is stored or not (see previous <br />section). This mixture will also be used on the more upland portions of the Wildlife <br />Habitat area. This mixture should not be planted anywhere on the southern side of the <br />operation outside of the slurry wall where various forest and wetland units will be <br />created.
