9. Results of the three leaching procedures will be evaluated to determine the most reasonable leaching test to
use for future monitoring of CICD. Results of this evaluation and the rationale for the chosen leaching procedure
will be forwarded to DMG once they are available.
4.5 Laboratory Analysis
One duplicate sample will be collected during each sampling event to monitor data quality. At the end of each
day of sampling, groundwater samples will be shipped to a qualified analytical laboratory for chemical analysis.
The analytical pazameters, analytical methods, and detection limits for groundwater samples are listed in Table
8. A chain of custody form will be included with each shipment to record sample handling.
Laboratory analytical reports will be prepared in a Level 2 format, which will include the following information:
• Cover letter with Project Chemist sign-off;
• Analytical Results and Practical Quantitation Limits;
• Methods Page;
• Laboratory Batch QA/QC Results: Method Prep Blanks, Lab Fortified Blanks, AnalyticaUlnstrument
Blanks, Lab Control Samples and Surrogates;
• Statement of Data Qualifiers; and
• Field Chain-of-Custody Form.
4.6 Reporting Procedures
A report detailing well installation, sampling and analysis methods, and results of laboratory analyses will be
provided to DMG within 90 days of the completion of field work currently scheduled to be completed by March
31, 2003. The following elements will be included in the report:
• Borehole logs and well construction diagrams for new monitoring wells,
• Locations of new monitoring wells,
• Groundwater elevations for all existing monitoring wells and piewmeters,
• Results of field groundwater parameter measurements for all monitoring wells, and
• Results of laboratory analyses of groundwater collected from all monitoring wells including
laboratory reports.
Results of each of the three additional quarters of groundwater samples to be collected from monitoring well
MW-10 prior to December 31, 2003 will be forwarded to DMG as soon as practicable after appropriate review
by Holcim. The following elements will be included in these reports:
Groundwater elevations for all existing monitoring wells and piezometers,
Results of field groundwater parameter measurements for monitoring well MW-10, and
Results of laboratory analyses of groundwater collected from monitoring well MW-10, including
laboratory reports.
BLASLAND, BOUCK & LEE, INC.
izriaroz engineers & scientists 43
Graundwettt Mon'ttorin8 Plan ^.dot
