REGEIVtU
SEP 13 [006
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Exhibit E
RECLAMATION PLAN
Unless specifically discussed below the reclamation methods
described and approved in the original permit applications, will
remain unchanged. The following text explains the changes to the
reclamation plan as proposed in this amendment.
Currently the post mining land use is rangeland which we are
changing to Industrial/Commercial. The approved reclamation
plan, the revegetation methods and species to be used, will be
used on the side slopes from the existing surface to the mine
floor We will use the revegetation and recoiling methods ap-
proved in the existing permit for any slopes created during
mining.
When as mining progresses slopes the will remain when mining
is done will be graded to 2:1, so only recoiled and revegetated
will be needed for reclamation. Using the methods and seed mix
described in the existing reclamation plan the slopes from the
top of the mine to the floor will be done once enough areas is
complete to warrant reclamation.
The topsoil berms along the eastern limits, that were
constructed during mining, may be used to recoil the slopes. If
they are not needed they will remain and be revegetated using the
same seed mix used on the slopes.
The primary change to the existing reclamation plan is that
the mine floor will be graded and prepared for industrial and
commercial uses but the flat area will not be recoiled as noted
in the original report. It will remain a gravel surface until
final development plans are complete. The Reclamation Plan Map
show how we think this area will look when reclamation is com-
plete. Figure E-1 on page 6 is a color coded version of the
large scale Reclamation Plan Map showing the various end uses for
reclamation. The light green area is land that was disturbed and
will be seeded. The brown area is the industrial/commercial area
and the dark green area is undisturbed area.
Reclamation Timetable
RECLAMATION ACRES f
AREA YEARS TOTAL INDUSTRIAL/
COMMERCIAL
AREA REVEGETATION UNDISTURBED
Existing area 3-5 53.20 24,69 3.04 25.47
New area 3-5 16.42 9,03 4.08 3.31
Total 69.62 33.72 7.12 26.78
5
