:( <br />EXHIBIT G -Water Information <br />This sand and gravel operation is not expected to directly affect surface or groundwater systems <br />other than evaporation from the ponds which will be replaced by the applicant. (See Exhibit L). <br />There aze no known wells within 600 feet of the draw down that have not previously released <br />Loveland Ready-Mix Concrete Inc when the pits well permit was obtained. No pollution <br />problems aze anticipated. <br />In order to assure yeaz round augmentation water to replace the evaporative loss from the <br />exposed water surface of the reclaimed ponds ,Loveland Ready-Mix Concrete, Inc. Plans to line <br />the excavated mine azeas in pit numbers 4 and 5 which will be LRM Storage Pond #I and pit <br />numbers 6 and 7 which will be LRM Storage Pond #2. The pond lining will be in accordance <br />with Earth Engineering Consultants, Inc. Pond lining procedure as shown in the Pond Lining <br />Detail. LRM Storage Pond #1 has been lined and accepted by the Office of the State Engineer on <br />August 24, 2000. <br />Loveland Ready-Mix Concrete, Inc. has received a storage decree for a total of 550 acre-feet for <br />both LRM Storage Pond #1 and #2 in District Water Court Case No. 98CW431. Loveland <br />Ready-Mix Concrete, Inc. Has also applied for a change of use for 120 inches of Barnes Ditch <br />water to be used for augmentation andlor municipal use, Case No. OOCW 143 and a permanent <br />augmentation plan in Case No. OOCW142. Water will be diverted out of the Barnes Ditch into <br />LRM Storage Pond #1 and #2 through existing head-gates. An 18 inch slide gate and an 18 inch <br />transfer pipe will be installed in the umnined embankment between the two ponds to transfer <br />water from LRM Storage Pond #1 to LRM Storage Pond #2. An 18 inch slide gate and an 18 <br />inch release pipe will be installed from LRM Storage Pond #2 to the Big Thompson River. <br />Reservoir gauges will be installed in each pond to measure and regulate the storage and release of <br />water. <br />Reclaimed ponds on the South side of the Big Thompson River have been augmented under Case <br />No. W-7412 since 1977. A valid substitute Supply Plan and Well Pennit are in place for this <br />operation. <br />Included as a part of this exhibit is a copy of a letter from the State of Colorado, Office of the <br />State Engineer, Division of Water Resources, dated April 18, 2000 signed by Kenneth W. Knox, <br />Assistant State Engineer which outlines the substitute water supply plan to cover depletions <br />caused by the existing gravel mining operation. The letter from Mr. Knox approves the <br />extension of the substitute water supply plan. (See pazagraph 2 on page 2). <br />Also included as a part of this exhibit is a copy of the letter to the State Engineer's Office dated <br />November 21, 2002 from Jennifer S. Lindahl, P.E. of Bishop-Brogden Associates, Inc. The letter <br />informs the State Engineer's Office that extensions for substitute water supply plan have been <br />submitted and are pending decree in the near future. <br />
