MINING PLAN
3. The depth of mining will be as deep as necessary to remove the sand resource.
(Tl:e fol[owiag applies to lowlands only: If water is encountered, no further mining
will occur, unless augmentation for evaporative losses have been accounted for as
required by law.)
26. Haulage of the sand to the processing plant or out of the site for processing elsewhere
will only occur along established transportation routes. Cross-country driving will not occur
due to the possibility of spreading noxious weeds.
See page 36.
27. All drivers will observe speed limits and drivers must be aware of wildlife on the road.
Wildlife always has the right-of--way.
See page 36.
28. If a new haulage route is needed to access a mining area and remove materials, then that
new road will become a transportation corridor and all weed control requirements will apply to
that road. If the roadway is subsequently reclaimed, then the reclamation plan weed control
requirements will apply. Prior to establishing new roadways, the entire road route will be
treated for noxious weeds not less than five days prior to constructing the roadway.
Furthermore, for new haulage routes that do not go through mined areas (along the edge of a
mined area, if possible, so reclamation units are not divided), the ordnance search requirements
apply.
See page 36. (Also see ordnance safety requirements for new roads on page 21.)
29. No operations will occur within 200 feet of any operating oil or gas well or oil or gas lines
without FIRST obtaining permission from the well or pipeline owner and the additional
disturbance is also APPROVED by the Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners and the
Division of Minerals and Geology (or Mined Land Reclamation Board). Also see setback
requirements on page 18.
See page 40.
Coal Creek Sand Resource Amendment 3 (2005) - M-1988-044 Exhibit D Page 6
