a base for reclanaBon" shall be increased to "I8 acres" for this revision. Accordingly
the currant $37,303 financial warranty shall be proportionately increased.
Finished side slopes of the excavation shall be limited to no steeper than 3-horizontal
to 1-vertical (3:1), an increase from the formerly specified 4: 1. This increase is in
harmony with natural slopes in the area and with the wider excavation area being made
available by this TR IV (allowing more complete mining of the resource), and with the
intended post-mine pastureland use. Such sideslopes shall thus be confined to the
property boundaries and (for the time being) the irrigation canal right-of--way.
sideslopes shall not required to be traversed by farm machinery or other vehicles
(except at the incorporateded north access ramp}, and are capable of being re-
vegetated with the previously planned pastureland grass vegetation.
5) Phase II mining, as previously revised, shall follow the Pkase I extraction upon its
completion, except that Phase II mining shall commence in the southeast comer and
proceed north and northwest. The same sideslopes and set-backs from Gurley Ditch
specified above for the (new) Phase I shall be employed for Phase II and the Phase
III excavations.
6) Phase III (northeast of Gurley Ditch) shall follow Phase 77, with excavation
proceeding from south to north.
Updated details for the Phase I operation, labeled `Exhibit C-2-A MINE PLAN
DETAIL" and Exhibit F-2-A aze herewith provided for clarification. A]] other aspects of
the current mining and reclamation plans shall remain unchanged. The $150.00 Technical
Revision fee is attached.
Please contact our agent Doug Conger at (970) 565-8394 (voice-message-fax) 711
Hartman Road, Cortez, CO 81321, a-mail: dconger(c~rhubwest.com. if further clarification
or discussion is necessary for approval of this "Technical Revision IV".
Sincerely,
(Lessee/Operator) ~
Michael A. DeJohn, Manager (Permittee)
Louisiana Land an auel Company, LLC P.O. Box 8419, Clinton, LA, 70722-8419
