Baurer <br /> wetlands <br /> DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AUTHORIZED WORK <br /> In accordance with the terms and conditions of this Department of the <br /> Army permit, Mr . Peter L . Baurer, is granted authorization by the <br /> Secretary of the Army to impact 0 . 09 acres of water of the United States <br /> in conjunction with the construction of the fish pond . <br /> The project entails constructing a private fishing pond. The scope of <br /> work will require excavating mostly upland areas approximately 2200 feet <br /> long, 200 feet wide and 8 feet deep. The surface area of the pond will <br /> be approximately 10 . 17 acres . The shoreline around the pond will have <br /> 8 : 1 slopes . Excavation will be acne by scrapers and graders . The <br /> excavated material will be places: in upland sites creating an access <br /> rcad and two pads for two single family homes . An old abandon levee <br /> 1-es between the project site and t:1e South Platte River. The levee <br /> will be built up to serve as part of the entrance road and help deflect <br /> the road noise from US Hwv. 85 . I-nv excess excavated material will be <br /> used to level upland vegetated de_ressicns in the pasture . <br /> Approximately 0 . 09 acres of wetlands will be impacted by the project . <br /> Existing wetlands targeted to be impacted by the project are limited to <br /> a very small area on the North end of the pond. Mitigation will be on <br /> a 1 : 1 ratio and take place on site in an upland area adjacent to <br /> existing wetlands not impacted by the project . Wetlands will be allowed <br /> to develop along the pond' s edge, creating much more wetlands than will <br /> be impacted by the project . <br /> 4 . <br />
