'~ w
EXHIBIT L - RECLAMATION COSTS
13.1 Reclamation Costs
Revised reclamation bonding costs are presented with this
amendment. These costs have been calculated using the rental costs
and assumptions previously approved by the Division and contained
in Exhibit L of the original permit document. The costs requiring
revision are costs associated with waste rock disposal area
reclamation, tailings reclamation, and some sampling costs contained
under miscellaneous costs. Since seeding costs were calculated for
total disturbed area, these costs have also been revised. The cost
for heap leach reclamation has been eliminated from the total
presented.
The total cost estimate for reclamation of the San Luis Project
is S 3,273,762. Although the costing in the approved permit was
based on a two phase approach, the submitted bond was the worst case
bond and not the Phase 1 bond. This amendment presents only the worst
case costs.
13.2 Waste Rock Disoosal Areas
Waste rock disposal area reclamation costs are shown for each
waste rock disposal area. Waste rock disposal areas will cover a
total of 254 acres including the East Pit. Dump outslopes will be
regraded to approximately 3H:1V prior to topsoil replacement.
Disposal area reclamation costs have been calculated using the
assumptions previously approved and outlined below for outslope
grading, topsoil replacement and topsoil grading.
Total Outslope Reclamation Costs/Acre E4,176
Total Topsoil Replacement and Regrading Costs/Acre = SI,703

L-1
