Annual records of the actual gravel production rate shall be maintained and made available to
the Division for inspection upon request.
The Division determined that an annual mine production rate of approximately 147,368 tons per year
would produce uncontrolled emissions of particulate matter equal to 10 tons per year from this facility.
At this level a permit would be required.
Please note, although exempt emission points do not need air emission permits, they are still required
to meet all applicable standards and regulations of the Air Quality Control Commission. The fugitive dust control plan submitted, as part of your
application, shall be followed in order to meet these requirements.
A Revised Air Pollutant Emission Notice (APEN) shall be filed (Reference: Reg. 3, Part A,II.C)
a. Annually whenever a significant increase in emissions occurs as follows:
A change in actual emissions of five tons per year or more of any criteria pollutant,
above the level reported on the last APEN submitted; or
b. Whenever there is a change in the owner or operator of any facility, process, or activity; or
c. Whenever new air pollution control equipment is installed, or whenever a different type of
control equipment replaces an existing type of control equipment; or
d.
