Lupton Sand and Gravel
Mine 112c Amendment Application (#M-1999-120)
Dear Lynn:
As requested, this letter responds to the comments raised by the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology (DMG) on Exhibit G-"Water Information" for the above-referenced mine
amendment application. Comments were received from DMG in a letter dated December 2,
2004. We assume that this letter and its attachments will be provided to DMG.
Wright Water Engineers, Ina (WWE) has provided assistance to L.G. Everist, [nc. (LGE) on
matters related to surface water, groundwater, and wetlands at the Ft. Lupton operation for the
past several years. Little Dry Creek, the East Lateral, the South
Plate River, and the roadside ditch will not be mined. All of these features will remain in
their present condition. Buffer zones of varying widths will be utilized between mining
GLEN WOOD SPRINGS DURANGO
t970~ 945-7755 TEL ~970t 945-9210 FAX ~970~ 259-741 I TEL ~970~ 259-8758 FAX
