999
Berm Inspection and Maintenance Plan
Upon receiving approval from the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) for TR-006,
Western Mobile will fill, grade, and shape the Deepe berm to the approved finished contours.
After all grading has been completed, the berm will be fertilized and reseeded with the approved
seed mix in all areas that have not been erosion protected with riprap. Reseeding will occur either
this fall or the spring of 1998. As soon as possible, following the successful revegetation of the
berm surface,Western Mobile will file a request with the DMG for an inspection and release of the
berm from any further reclamation requirements on the part of Western Mobile under Permit M-81-
302. At the time of bond release, inspection and maintenance of the berm will be the obligation of
the landowner, University of Colorado.
During the period of time that reclamation of the berm is covered under Permit M-81-302,
Western Mobile will inspect and maintain the berm according to the following plan.
Semi-Annual Inspections
The berm will be inspected semi-annually by Western Mobile. Inspections will be
conducted during the first week of April and the first week of October. Inspections will begin after
the berm has been reseeded and continue on a semi-annual basis until Western Mobile's
reclamation obligation for the berm has been released by the DMG. The berm will be inspected for
the following:
• erosion
• burrowing animals
• three and shrub growth
• settlement and subsidence
• displacement of riprap or other erosion protection
A dated report (see Inspection Report Form) will be prepared by Western Mobile following
each inspection. The report will address the five areas described above as well as the company's
reclamation efforts to date.
