999 <br /> Berm Inspection and Maintenance Plan <br /> Upon receiving approval from the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) for TR-006, <br /> Western Mobile will fill, grade, and shape the Deepe berm to the approved finished contours. <br /> After all grading has been completed,the berm will be fertilized and reseeded with the approved <br /> seed mix in all areas that have not been erosion protected with riprap. Reseeding will occur either <br /> this fall or the spring of 1998. As soon as possible, following the successful revegetation of the <br /> berm surface,Western Mobile will file a request with the DMG for an inspection and release of the <br /> berm from any further reclamation requirements on the part of Western Mobile under Permit M-81- <br /> 302. At the time of bond release, inspection and maintenance of the berm will be the obligation of <br /> the landowner, University of Colorado. <br /> During the period of time that reclamation of the berm is covered under Permit M-81-302, <br /> Western Mobile will inspect and maintain the berm according to the following plan. <br /> Semi-Annual Inspections <br /> The berm will be inspected semi-annually by Western Mobile. Inspections will be <br /> conducted during the first week of April and the first week of October. Inspections will begin after <br /> the berm has been reseeded and continue on a semi-annual basis until Western Mobile's <br /> reclamation obligation for the berm has been released by the DMG. The berm will be inspected for <br /> the following: <br /> • erosion <br /> • burrowing animals <br /> • three and shrub growth <br /> • settlement and subsidence <br /> • displacement of riprap or other erosion protection <br /> A dated report (see Inspection Report Form) will be prepared by Western Mobile following <br /> each inspection. The report will address the five areas described above as well as the company's <br /> reclamation efforts to date. <br />
