5.0 DESCRIPTION OF STORAGE FACILITIES <br />• 5.1 Fuel. Oil, and Coolant <br />Fuel, oil, and coolant is stored in tanks and barrels adjacent <br />to the truck shop area or in barrels inside the truck shop. Tanks <br />are placed on prepared foundations and surrounded by berms to contain <br />spills. Barrels stored inside the truck shop are kept out of the way <br />of vehicular traffic. All spills in the truck shop can be contained <br />in the shop area. All used oil will be collected four recycling. <br />Storage facilities are well ventilated and away from sources of heat <br />and flame. Appropriate extinguishing agents are readily available <br />in the event of afire. <br />5.2 AWFO <br />ANFO is stored in a location adjacent to khe open-pit <br />operations in a manner governed by MSHA regulations. <br />• 1 <br />5.3 Processing Reaoents <br />Reagents used in the ore processing or laboratory work are <br />stored in several locations on-site. Small quantities of chemicals <br />used in the laboratory are stored in the laboratory. Mill reagents <br />are stared in the mill or in the case of cyanide Flo-Bins, adjacent <br />to the mill in a secured area. All reagents are stored in well <br />ventilated areas away from sources of heat and flame. Acids will not <br />be stored adjacent to sodium cyanide. Bulk chemical containers will <br />be clearly marked for contents. Emergency showers and eyewash <br />stations are available near areas where chemicals ar•e stored and <br />used. <br />• <br />-ti- <br />
