11) Under the Reclamation Cost Exhibit L it is noted that only partial pumping will be conducted. At
least one slope will have to be established from toe to crest therefore it must be assumed that the
entire volume will have to be pumped. Please clarify discrepancy.
12) From the Mining and Reclamation text it appears that there will be no isolation of Phase 11 from
other mined areas. Please clarify whether pumping estimates include pumping the entire mined
area of 211.03 acres or just the 25.48 acres noted in the mine plan for Phase 11.
13) Please provide a break down of demolition costs. In order to provide an accurate estimate the
size and dimensions of buildings, footers and concrete structures must be provided.
This is a Preliminary Adequacy Review. Other issues and continued clarification of those noted may
require additional information and further review. The tentative Decision Date for this application is set
for July 3151, 2007 provided all issues have been addressed and there are no objections received.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501,
telephone no, 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
~~~Gl~y~~~iO'
G.
