Describe any associated drainage or runoff conveyance structure (culvert, etc.). Include <br />sufficient information to evaluate structure sizing. <br />Specify how much water will be used in conjunction with the operation (dust control <br />etc.), and the source of this water. <br />Describe what measures (if any) will be taken to minimize disturbance to the hydrologic <br />balance, prevent off-site damage, and provide for a stable configuration of the reclaimed <br />areas. <br />Will the mined clay be processed on site? If so, describe the nature of the process. <br />3. Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan -please describe the type of reclamation the Applicant <br />proposes to achieve and why it was chosen. <br />Provide a comparison of the proposed post-mining land use to other land uses in the <br />vicinity. <br />Describe how the reclamation plan will be implemented to meet each applicable <br />requirement of Section 3.1. <br />Which azeas of the proposed amended lands will be graded and how will the grading be <br />carried out so as to create a final topography appropriate to the final land use (3.1.5(1))? <br />How does the Applicant plan to compact the backfilled material so it remains stable <br />(3.1.5(2))? <br />If the topsoil is not replaced in the disturbed azeas within one growing season, a <br />vegetative cover or other means shall be employed so that the topsoil is protected from <br />erosion and is in a usable condition for reclamation (3.1.9(1)). Please describe how the <br />topsoil stockpile will be protected from wind or water erosion. <br />What measures will be undertaken to assure the stability of replaced topsoil on graded <br />slopes (3.1.9(5))? <br />Please clearly describe where in the permit, or subsequent permit revision, the <br />established seed rates, grass species, fertilizer rates and soil preparation requirements can <br />be found. <br />4. Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Map needs to be signed by the qualified person who <br />prepazed the map. <br />Does the map boundary identify and outline the permit boundary or the affected land <br />boundazy (or are the boundazies the same)? See paragraph 1 above. <br />As of Februazy 28, 2003, Mr. Wayne Spence said that the public notice had not been published <br />even though the Division notified Acme Brick on Januazy 10, 2003 to publish notice within 10 <br />days (or by January 20, 2003). As a result, pursuant to Rule 1.4.1(13), an additional time period, <br />as determined by the Division, may be added for the Office or Boazd to make a decision. Such <br />time period shall not exceed ninety (90) days for any 112 Reclamation Permit Application <br />without objections, or 120 days for any 112 Reclamation Permit Application with objections. <br />Please submit a copy of the published notice to the Division as soon as possible so a new <br />decision date can be set (if necessary). <br />Prior to Final consideration of the application, the Applicant must submit proof of publication <br />and proof of all other required notices to the Division. <br />The current decision due date is April 9, 2003. If the above noted adequacy items aze not <br />adequately addressed by the current decision date, or the revised date if a new one is set, the <br />application may be denied. <br />
