onto Co. Rd. N. These roads are also shown on the attached Mining Plan
Map. Both roadways will be reclaimed by seeding when the pit is complete.
Please state if the azea noticed as "CRP" on the maps in inside or outside
of the proposed permit area.
The area noted as "CRP" lies outside of the original pit boundary and is still
outside the expanded pit.
• Please depict the location of any oiUgas lines on one of the exhibits.
There is no oil or gas production on this quarter and there are no oil or gas
lines.
3. Rule 63.4 Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan Please address the following items:
• The operator depicts three ponds in the bottom of the pit, Please explain
the water rights associated with the capture and storage of the water in the
pit. Please explain how the pit will be lined to hold water and prevent
seepage.
There will be no water rights associated with the pond areas. They will
simply be shallow depressions which may hold a small amount of excess
rainfall for a very limited period of time. They will be left to enhance wildlife
opportunities for finding water in the area. The pits will not be lined, nor are
they intended to hold water for an extended period of time.
• Please explain how water will safely leave the site and flow into the
existing drainages.
This is sn intermittent drainage area Water will leave the site when it
reaches the level to cross Co. Rd. 59 to the south. Yuma County does not
have a culvert at the road crossing, but they have provided a low water
crossing that allows the natural drainage to flow on to the southeast in times
of heavy rainfall.
• Please state the anticipated depth of topsoil to be replaced on all affected
area.
The NRCS Soil Survey indicated that there is 5-6" of topsoil over the site.
Assuming that is correct, we would hope to return at least 5^ inches of topsoH
on the affected areas during reclamation.
• The operator provided only one specie to be planted on site, brome grass
at 31bs./acre. This is a significant change from what was approved under
the original 110 application. The proposed future land use is wildlife
2
