AS these areas are <br />currently in their post-mining lead use conSguration, ExxonMobil requests removal of <br />these areas from the Permit. <br />Summary <br />F-215 <br />F.~otonMobil continues development activities to bring ail shale resources into <br />production. These activities include onsite research activities, probable use of the gaine <br />bench for further activities designed to understand fracturing of the oil shale resource, <br />investigation into possible new crushitxg, eoaversion and upgrading technologies, oa-site <br />spent shale research, and other possr~ble activities utilizing the Colony facilities and <br />inficastructure. <br />The site is enviroruuentally stable. Reclamation has been accomplished on <br />approximatoty 401 acres of a total disturbed acreage of approximately 1, 131 acres. <br />Approximately 228 acres of roads, tetminaUstagingerea, and water resources facilities <br />will be used for future industrial activity and should be removed from the permit, k'uture <br />industrial use of these areas was contemplated in the approved permit. <br />Enclosed is a report detailing the reclamation work that has been accomplished and <br />explaining fie then our request to remove acreage from the Permit area because of future <br />industrial use foi that acreage. <br />We trust that this submittal appropriately responds to the request Set forth is the <br />Inspection Report. We will contact you after thre holidays to schedule a meeting w <br />initiate the technical revision, review the enclosed report, and discuss additional <br />reclamation as well as the current status of the spent shale research.
