Please find enclosed a copy Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology's (DMG) recommendation to approve the Conversion
Application CN-001 for the Mascot Placer application. The Conversion Application was submitted by Everist Materials,
L.L.C. to convert their dredge pile removal operation at the Masco[ Placer from a 110c limited impact permit of 9.9 acres to a
112c regular pemtit of 89 acres, of which only 42 acres will be affected by dredge rock removal. The Construction Materials
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, at rule 1.4.9(2)(c), require that the DMG recommendation and
rationale be mailed to the Applicant and all Parties to the application. The following have party status:

As a reminder, the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board will hold a Formal Public Hearing on the CN-001 application
during their meetings on June 22-23, 2004 beginning at 10:00 am the first day and a[ 9:00 am the second day. A[ the hearing,
persons with party status will have the opportunity to be represented and heard. Non-parties will be given an opportunity to
briefly address the Board.
