Revegetation per NRCS
specifications. Topsoil to be replaced to 6"-12" depth.
(2) Reclamation plan map
(a) Map shows areas of final slope configuration. 1:1 slope
and bench areas were designed due to natural topography
and to maximize product yield. All other areas will be 3:1
slopes as shown which will be mined on this grade as to
minimize reclamation costs. Slopes will be mined from top
down and as an area is sloped and prepared, topsoil will be
replaced and seeded. This will keep disturbed area and
reclamation cost to a minimum. Benches shall be top soiled
and seeded as they are completed. 1:1 slope will not be top
soiled or seeded.
(b) Open range land constitutes this general area. Revegetation
and post mining will be in conjunction with this.
(c) As noted above, reclamation will proceed along with
mining. Final use will be for cattle and wildlife.
(d) Topsoil stockpile areas shown on map. Piles to be rounded
and walked in with a dozer for stabilization and seeded.
Replacement will occur as areas are prepared. Topsoil
replacement will be 6"-12" depth. Seeding will be per
NRCS specifications.
(e) As mentioned above, reclamation will occur as mining
progresses. Initial sloping and topsoil replacement should
commence in approximately 2-3 years and occur every year
thereafter. It is hard to delineate sizes of areas to be
reclaimed at any one time because slope and bench areas
have a lot less area than 3:1 slope areas. A good estimation
would probably be 1-3 acres per year. Areas could be
shown on annual maps. Final grade shown on map.
Topsoil replacement as noted will be at least 6"-12". All
revegetatiion shall be to NRCS specifications.
(f)(1) Shown on map.
(2) Per NRCS specifications.
(3) Per NRCS specifications.
(4) Per NRCS specifications.
(5) Stated above.
6
