Mining will be performed by ripping with dozer and
stockpiling.
(B) As shown on mine plan map, pit walls will be 3:1 slopes or 1:1 slope
and bench for stability. In the 3:1 slope areas, mining will be done
on 3:1 slopes as to help eliminate reclamation costs. 1:1 slope and
bench areas will be mined from top down with reclamation on
benches performed as constructed in mining operations.
(C) Water diversions and impoundments shown on mine plan map.
(D) No more than 25 acres shall be disturbed at any time.
(E) Pit 1 (North Pit) Mining is performed in this pit presently under
permit # M87027, with eight (8) acres of disturbance. Mining will
advance north and down to permit boundaries.
(la) Pit #1. This pit should be mined out in 10-15 years.
Reclamation will be occurring as slopes are mined and prepared in 3-5
years.
(lb) Pit #1. Shown on map,
(1 c) Pit #1. Mining will be from north to south.
Pit 2 (South Pit) No mining will take place in Pit #2 until Pit #1 is
primarily mined out and a large portion reclaimed.
(2a) Pit #2. Mining will commence in approximately 12-15 years.
(2b) Pit #2. Mining will not exceed 25 acres disturbance at any time.
(2c) Pit #2. Mining will be from top down with reclamation
performed as in Pit #1.
(F) Mine plan map.
(1) Deposit is banded rhyolite to be mined to a depth of 90' at
deepest point. Only topsoil will be removed, there is no
overburden.
(2) Same material is under deposit.
(G) Primary commodities are decorative landscape stone. Secondary use
is road gravel.
(H) Minor amounts of landscape boulders and rubble.
(I) Presently mining is performed by ripping material. No explosives
are anticipated to be needed.
