r
~~
4. Modus Ooerandi
(a) Immediate Project - Reduce Free (CN)
(i) Cytox will accomplish this need.
(iii Analytical technique/data must'lie resolved, see Appendix I
(memo to San Luis)
(iii) Time allowed - 42 days [4-8-92 = 5-20-92]
(iv) Final Report - 5-21-92
(v) State hearing on 4-23-92; prepare for!
(b) Intermediate Project - Cu WAD
(i) Cu WAD is half as toxic, when ingested, as free CN. So this
is a potential bird-kill problem.
(ii) Cu WAD can be eliminated, but a test program has to be
commenced. A program is outlined in Appendix II.
(iii) On 5-21-92, and in the report, this program should be well
underway with supporting "optimistic" results.
(c) 'Back-up" Long Term Forecasts
The change from an HZSOd AVR system to a Cytox AVR system will change
the acid producing/acid neutralizing balance in the settling pond.
This is a concern both to Adrian and the state, The switch
(according to BEI's calculations) must be beneficial in favor of
Cytox, but Adrian is correct - it must be proven.
Adrian, Matt and myself, under Adrian's sponsorship, are about to
undertake tests to determine ANP and AGP
Please let me have your comments about the above.
Yours sincerely,
BEI
ECNGIN^EERS/CO7N~STRU~C70~RS INC.
T.C.
