COOLEY RESERVOII2 AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PIT <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 - JERONIMUS PROPERTY <br />(Revised 05/03) <br />EXHIBIT G WATER INFORMATION <br />Note: The accompanying information was prepared by the Applegate Group, Inc., who also <br />prepared the Water Information for the existing permit area. <br />Since the original report, the following has been added to this EXI3IBIT: <br />Pages 8 - 14 Information on shallow wells within 600' of the Amendment No. 1 area. In addition <br />to the map that is included as page 9 ofthis EXHIBIT, the location of these wells has <br />also been added to EXHIBIT C-1, SHEET 1 of 2, Pre-NGning Nlap -Existing & <br />Proposed Boundaries/Shallow Wells within 600'. <br />Per a stipulation made on EXHIBIT D and in EXHIBIT C-2 SHEET 2 of 2 - <br />MINING PLAN MAP - "No partial dewatering shall be undertaken without an <br />Agreement with shallow well owners within 600', or the State Engineer's Office <br />(SEO) approves partial dewatering." <br />Pages 15 - 16 Information on the substitute supply pPlan for evaporative losses. <br />AI believes that the substitute supply plan is already in existence. However, until this <br />is confirmed by the State Engineer's Office, AI has agreed to a stipulation as outlined <br />on EXI-IIBIT D AND EXHIBIT C-2 SHEET 2 of 2 MINING PLAN MAP - "No <br />mining shall occur within 2' of the groundwater table in any area not already exposed <br />to the surface until the State Engineer's Office (SEO) approves a substitute water <br />supply plan or another plan that allows such exposure of groundwater." <br />Finally, per page 9 ofEXHIBIT D, AI has an existing discharge permit that covers both storm water <br />discharge as well as discharge from the wash plant. This permit will be amendment to include the <br />Amendment No. 1 area, or a new permit will be obtained, if required. Therefore, the folowing <br />affirmative statement is made in this regard: <br />Aggregate Industries - WCR, Inc. has acquired a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) Permit from the Water Quality Control Division at the Colorado <br />Department of Health, and will obtain either an amendment to this existing permit or obtain <br />a new permit, prior to any dischazge of either storm water or the plant's wash water from the <br />operations in the Amendment No. 1 area. <br />
