Banks and Gesso, LLC
EXHI8IT A -LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The legal description of the property remains unchanged from the original application.
EXHIBIT B -INDEX MAP
See map insert.
EXHIBIT C -MINING PLAN MAP OF AFFECTED LANDS
The only change to the pre-mining information for the property, including adjacent
property owners, man-made structures within 200 feet of the mine area, natural features,
etc., is one change in ownership of a property within 200' of the mining limits. Parcel
444136306009, the property formerly owned by Charlene Phillips, is now owned by
Kenneth Johnson. For detailed information on those subjects, please refer to the
original maps supplied to the DMG in 1999. The Mine Plan Map, depicting the proposed
mine area to be added to the permit, can be found in the map pocket following this page.
EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN
The 35-acre parcel depicted on the Mine Plan Map will be mined using the same
procedures and techniques described in the original permit application and employed
throughout the other mining areas.
After the topsoil and overburden is removed and stockpiled from the mine area, mining
will occur utilizing the existing dragline to excavate the raw material and place it in
windrows adjacent to the pit. Excavation will be performed in the naturally occurring
groundwater table with limited dewatering occurring. Because the natural water table
levels are so high in the mine area, some dewatering may take place in order to create a
stable surface from which the dragline will be able to operate safely. Pit edges will be
mined to create the same 3:1 and 2:1 slopes seen in the other mine areas and materials
will be transported to the processing areas via the same methods used in the originally
permitted mine areas.
EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN
As with the other mine areas, the post-mining land use for the new area will be unlined
ponds with limited wildlife habitat. Specifics pertaining to methods by which reclamation
will occur will be the same as described in the original permit application.
