In my review I noted the following items. Please respond to each item as noted: 1 . Application Fee A check for $785.00 has been received and processed by the Division. Since no change in acreage has occurred a fee of $100.00 is only required. I have requested a warrant for $685.00 payable to Marathon Gold Corporation. We will be Sending this overpayment back to you within 3 weeks. 2. Concerning the "cyanide research" laboratory, the Division' s primary concern is that this part of your mine plan is permitted. The requirement for an amendment was based on necessity for publication and also laboratory size. Please be aware that small vat leach operations which are premitted are similar in size to your sampling operation. The Division is aware that the pilot wet gravity concentration system is separate from your "cyanide research laboratory" . However, we believe that this research is conducted in conjuction with your existing pilot plant and is therefore considered a part of your mine development. 3. As stated in previous inspection reports, the cyanide portion of your operation is well designed. The primary concern is detoxification and - disposal . Please submit sample analyses of the detoxified cyanide process material . Samples should be analyzed for total cyanide, free cyanide, sulfate and chloride.
