remedial work shall be submitted by the Contractor for review and <br />• approval by the Engineer prior to commencement of such work. <br />3.3 Dust Abatement <br />During the performance of the work defined by these <br />Specifications or any operations appurtenant thereto, whether on a <br />right-of-way provided by the Owner or elsewhere, the Contractor shall <br />furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and means required to <br />perform proper and efficient measures to prevent fugitive dust <br />excursion. The Contractor shall prevent dust which has originated <br />from the Contractor's operations from damaging land, vegetation, and <br />dwellings, or causing a nuisance to persons. Dust shall be controlled <br />to a degree acceptable to the appropriate state and federal agencies, <br />and to the Engineer. <br />3.4 Limits of Work <br />• ` The Contractor shall confine his equipment, the storage of <br />materials, and the operation of workmen to limits indicated by law, <br />ordinances, permits, or selected by the Engineer, and shall not <br />unreasonably encumber the premises with his materials. Caution shall <br />be exercised at all times to avoid blocking plant or other access <br />and haul roads or in any other way interfering with the Owner's <br />operations. The Contractor shall not, at any time, engage or <br />instigate activities that would, in the Owner's cer Engineer's <br />opinion, present a hazard to Owner's personnel, or operations, or <br />to the public. <br />The Contractor's attention is brought to areas within the <br />overall work areas covered in this Specification in which the Owner, <br />or other contractors appointed by the Owner, will be performing work. <br />These include, but are not limited to, the mine and millsite areas, <br />the tailings disposal area, waste rock disposal areas, and utility <br />line corridors. <br />12 <br />
