6.4.5 Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
Backfill Western 300 ft of Existing Pond
Reclamation will begin by moving overburden from the north 1/3 of Cell 1 to the
west 250 ft of the existing pond area. Backfilling this area will help to stabilize
the river bank of Boulder Creek and prevent river capture of the existing pond.
Total volume to backfill this area is approximately 85,000 yd3
Concurrent Backfilling Adjacent to Oil and Gas Structures
Agreements between owners of oil and gas structures specify that mining can
occur no closer than 75 ft from oil and gas well facilities as a temporary condition.
ASCI will backfill areas adjacent to oil and gas oil and gas wells as shown in
Exhibit C-2, Mining Plan Maps. Backfilling adjacent to oil and gas structures to a
radial distance of 150 ft will occur within two weeks following excavation near oil
and gas structures. The total volume of material needed to backfill these areas is
approximately 94,307 yd3
Backfilling Perimeter of Cell 2
The next phase of reclamation will occur followinq~ mining of the north boundary
backfill area in Cell 2. Approximately 150,000 yd stockpiled in the north area of
Cell 2 will be backfilled into the north backfill area of Cell 2.
Concurrent reclamation of Cell 2 will occur as additional overburden stripped for
operations moving south will be placed into mined out backfill areas as mining
proceeds south (see Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan for location of backfill areas).
Backfilling Cell 3
Backfilling of Cell 3 will begin following mining of Cell 6. Overburden stripped
from Cell 6 will be placed directly into Cell 3. Additional overburden from Cell 4
will be placed directly into Cell 3 prior to mining Cell 4. Cell 3 will be backfilled to
approximate historic grade.
Backfilling Cell 6
Backfilling of Cell 6 will begin following mining of Cell 5. Overburden from Cell 5
will be placed directly into Cell 6. Additional backfill will be obtained from the
Borrow Cell, near Cell 1. Cell 6 will be backfilled to approximate historic grade.
Backfilling of an area shown in Exhibit F- Sheet 4 will be done during the non-
irrigation season (November-March) for the purpose of construction of a pipe that
will route a 3 cfs pending water right from west of Cell 6 to the Plumb and Dailey
Ditch.
Design and Construction of 3 cfs Water Right Pipe
The Plumb and Dailey Ditch Company has filed fora 3 cfs flow absolute water
right on water that flows through Cell 6. This section provides a design and
construction specification to route this flow through a pipe. The design criteria for
the pipe includes 1) ability to convey 3 cfs, 2) structural integrity sufficient to
protect the inlet and outlet for flows near pipe full flow capacity, 3) the pipe exit
elevation must be above the water line for the maximum decreed Plumb and
Turnpike Mining Resource M-2004-AM-1
Regular 112 application
