NONTECHNICAL SOILS DESCRIPTION REPORT <br />cameo <br />~ Soil name and description <br />Symbol ~ <br />This map unit is on steep, mainly south-facing slopes <br />of mountains, hills, ridges, and canyonsidea in <br />extremely rough and eroded areas. This unit is 50 <br />percent Torriorthente and 40 percent Rock outcrop. <br />Torriorthente are very shallow to moderately deep. <br />They are well to somewhat excessively drained. They <br />generally are clayey [o loamy and contain variable <br />amounts of pebbles, cobbles, and stones. Permeability <br />is slow to modem te, antl water holding capacity is very <br />low to low. effective rooting depth is 10 to 40 <br />inches. Runoff is very rapid, and erasion hazard is <br />very high. <br />Rock outcrop occurs on very steep elopes, canyon <br />slopes, cliffs, and steep mesa edges. <br />
