This unit ie <br />60 percent Barx loam and 25 percent Clapper very stony <br />loam. <br />~ The Barx soil is deep and well-drained. IC formed in <br />aeolian mace rials. The surface layer is loam about 3 <br />~ inches chick. The upper 10 inches of the subsoil is <br />clay loam. The lower 2T inches is loam. The <br />~ substratum to a depth of 60 inches or more is loam. <br />Permeability is moderate. Available water capacity is <br />~ high. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches or more. <br />~ Runoff is metlium, and the hazard of water erosion is <br />~ high. <br />~ The Clapper soil ie deep and well-drained. I[ formed <br />~ in residuum derived dominantly from glacial till <br />~ containing basalt Stones. The surface layer ie very <br />~ stony loam about 3 inches thick. The subsoil is a very <br />stony loam about 9 inches Chick. The subs[ ra [um to a <br />~ depth of 60 inches is very cobbly loam. Permeability <br />~ ie moderate. Available water capacity is low. <br />f Effective rooting depth is 60 inches or more. Runoff <br />is medium, and the hazard of water erosion is high. <br />22 ~ Clapper very Stony loam, 12 to 25 percent slopes <br />~3 / ~ This deep, well-drained soil is on moon tainaide slopes. <br />~ It formed in residuum from glacial till derived <br />dominantly from Basalt and mixed sources. The surface <br />ldyer 19 very stony loam abeut 3 inche9 thick. The <br />~ subsoil ie very stony loam 9 inches thick. The <br />~ substratum to a depth of 60 inches is very cobbly loam. <br />Permeability is moderate. Available water capacity is <br />~ low.
