No structures aze planned for the backfilled slopes, so compaction testing was not necessary. ' • No mining highwalls were left on the site and all slopes were graded to control potential erosion and siltation. • Grading of all slopes was done as mining progressed. ' • No refuse, acid-forming, or. toxic producing materials were miried or produced on the site. ~ No drill or auger- holes were part of the mining operations and no adits or shafts were created. • No. significant slopes were left on the site. Pit slopes and the pit floor are appropriate for use as industriaUcommercial. • The reclamation choice for industrial/commercial will not require that the area be plowed, planted and mowed. Therefore, the area has not been graded so farm machinery can traverse the azea when needed. • Structural fill was not` used to bacltf 11 the excavated pit. • Material that could potentially cause unauthorized releases of pollutants to the surface drainage system was not mined or disposed of within the affected azea. • No unauthorized release of pollutants to groundwater occurred from materials mined or handled within the permit area. ` All backfilling,and grading was done as mining progressed. Final gradmg and slope stabilization was completed in 2005 after the completion of mining activities. 3.1.6 Water -General Requirements Disturbances to the prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land and surrounding azea were minimized. • The operator has complied with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations governing.injury to existirig water rights. • The operator has complied with applicable federal-and Colorado water quality laws and regulations, including statewide water quality standards and site-specific classifications and standards adopted by the Water Quality Control Commission. • The operator has complied with all applicable federal and Colorado dredge and fill requirements. • No temporary or permanent siltation structures were constructed. . • - No dams were constructed in conjunction with this permit. • All surface areas of the affected land were stabilized to control erosion.
