(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of April 13 <br />through April 19, 2003. <br />The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 25° F to 39° F, and highs ranged from 47° F to 66° F. Snow was recorded <br />on April 15 and 19. Weather observations were made on seven days of this seven day reporting <br />period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IV b <br />and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb and c construction activities on six days of this seven- <br />day reporting period (April 14 through April 19, 2003). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames began haul and placement of Soil Liner Fill (SLF} in the Phase N b PSSA and compacted <br />material by use of aplate-tamping machine. Ames also hauled and placed Bedding Fill (BF) to the <br />south outboard bench of the Phase IV b PSSA limits. <br />Ames began excavation of the upper geomembrane anchor trench of the PSSA. Ames opened <br />• approximately 1100 feet of southern ore slope anchor trench from the southwest comer of the PSSA <br />trending to the east, and approximately 1200 feet of west SLF anchor trench trending to the north. <br />
