EXHIBIT A(1) - Lepal Description <br />The amended permit area lies in the S112SE114SW114 and the SE114SW114SW114, Section 14, Township 8 <br />South, Range 76 West, 6~^ Principal Meridian, Park County, Colorado. <br />EXHIBIT A(21-Location Mao <br />~E~EIVE® <br />See the attached Location Map. <br />EXHIBIT B ~ Site Description <br />FEB 2 5 1001 <br />Oivisinn of rditntrels and 6reology <br />(a) Description of vegetation and soil characteristics: This information is required to demonstrate compliance <br />with the reclamation pertormance standards required by Colorado law and reclamation rules. The proposed <br />amendment does not involve any changes in mining or reclamation plan. Refer to descriptions of vegetation <br />and soil characteristics inthe original 110 MininglReclamation Permit Application. <br />(b) The only permanent man-made structure within 200 feet of the amended permit area is a barbed-wire <br />fence running generally east-west about 10-20 feet south of the amended permit boundary. The fence is <br />owned by Universal Peat Sand & Gravel and, although no damage to the fence is likely, any incidental <br />damage would be repaired by UPS&G. <br />(c) Near the southeast corner of the amended permit area, both on the permit area and just east of it there <br />are two small shallow ponds in an excavation created by a previous gravel mining operation. These ponds <br />were created when the previous operator mined below the ground water table. They would receive <br />precipitation runoff from excavations on the amended permit area. There is no surface runoff from the <br />ponds. <br />EXHIBIT C- Mininst Plan <br />The proposed amendment does not involve any change in the approved mining plan. Refer to the original <br />110 MininglReclamation Permit Application for information regarding the mining plan. <br />EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan <br />The proposed amendment does not involve any change in the approved reclamation plan. Refer to the <br />original 110 MininglReclamation PermitApplication for information regarding the reclamation plan. <br />EXHIBIT E -Mao <br />Tthere are no changes involved in the mining or reclamation plan under the proposed amendment the only <br />proposed change is the location and shape of the permit area. This change is shown on the attached map of <br />the proposed amended permit area. <br />
