GENERAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Worthington has directed numerous complete site investigations and eohydrologic
studies incorporating characterization ofsurface and ground water systems, loc I and regional
water balances, geochemical evaluations, interpretation of impacts, data nalysis, and
preparation of reports. He also has been responsible for hydrologic evaluation ~nd design of
reclamation and closure plans for RCRA, CERCLA, and mine sites.
Mr. Worthington's experience includes both the engineering performan a of surface
water, ground water, and soils investigations as well as practical field investig tions. These
field responsibilities have included data collection, testing and interpretation s related to
surface and ground water hydrology and geotechnical studies. Field duties hav consisted of
supervision of drilling and well completion operations, performance of aquifer t st programs,
sample collection and data analysis, and soil testing and analysis. He h s also been
responsible for computerized data management and interpretation. His signif ant surface
water experience includes: sample collection with quality control; the installati n, operation
and interpretation of flow recording devices; computerized routing of flow ev nts and the
design of channels, sediment ponds and outlet structures; and the computeriz generation
of regional water balances and sedimentation predictions. His ground Ovate experience
includes the design of water well systems, and saturated and unsaturated grown water flow
modeling. ~
PUBLICATIONS
Worthington, Sherman J. and Duane W.
