Plans--When used in Contract Documents, shall have the same meaning <br />as "Drawings." <br />Project--The total construction of which the Work to be provided <br />under the Contract Documents may be the whole, or a part as indicated <br />elsewhere in the Contract Documents. <br />Radioactive Material--Source, special nuclear, or byproduct material . <br />as defined by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (42 USC Section 2011 et <br />seq.). <br />Resident Project Representative--The authorized representative of - <br />INGINEER who is assigned to the site or any part thereof. Others may <br />be utilized to assist the Resident Project Representative. <br />Samples--Physical examples of materials, equipment or workmanship <br />that are representative of some portion of the Work and which <br />establish standards by which such portion of the Work will be judged. <br />Shop Drawings--All Drawings, diagrams, illustrations, schedules and <br />other data or information which are specifically prepared or <br />assembled by or for CONTRACTOR and submitted by CONTRACTOR to <br />illustrate some portion of the Work. <br />Specificatioas--Those portions of the Contract Documents consisting <br />of written technical descriptions of materials, equipment, <br />construction systems, standards and workmanship as applied to the <br />Work and certain administrative details applicable thereto. <br />Subcontractor--An individual, firm or corporation having a direct <br />Contract with CONTRACTOR or with any other Subcontractor for the <br />performance of a part of the Work at the site. <br />Submittals--Shop Drawings, Samples, drafts, information, manuals, <br />warranties, documents and the like furnished to ENGINEER by <br />CONTRACTOR or Supplier through CONTRACTOR as required by the <br />Contract Documents. <br />Substantial Completion--The Work (or a specified part thereof) has <br />progressed to the point where, in the opinion of INGINEER as <br />evidenced by INGINEER's definitive letter certifying Substantial <br />Completion, it is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the <br />Contract Documents, so that the Work (or specified part) can be <br />utilized for the purposes for which it is intended; or if there be no <br />such letter issued, when final payment is due in accordance with <br />Paragraph 14.13. The terms °substantially complete" and <br />°substantially completed" as applied to any Work refer to Substantial <br />Completion thereof. <br />Supplementary Conditions--The part of the Contract Documents which <br />amends or supplements these General Conditions. <br />Supplier--A manufacturer, fabricator, supplier, distributor, <br />materialman or vendor having a direct Contract with CONTRACTOR or any <br />Subcontractor to furnish materials or equipment to be incorporated in <br />the Work by CONTRACTOR or any Subcontractor. <br />Revised 6-03 <br />GC-4 <br />
