Nicolas Pit <br /> Exhibit C • • <br /> Page 2 <br /> Item g - The primary access to the pit site is via County Road #864. It is a twenty <br /> (20') foot road with a granite surface. No additional work will be required <br /> on this road. This road is maintained in the summer, but is not plowed in <br /> the winter. Other roads per Item 5 will be constructed to minimum <br /> standards, and removed when the pit is reclaimed. <br /> Item h - The operation of this pit should not require any water. If dust abatement <br /> is required on County Road #864 during haul cycles the water can be <br /> trucked to the site and/or the road can be treated with magnesium <br /> chloride. <br /> Item i - It is anticipated that free ground- water will not be encountered. <br /> Item j - Not Applicable <br /> Item k - Not applicable <br /> Item 1 - The operation of the proposed pit will not change or adversely affect any <br /> existing drainage course. The proposed pit slopes will be flatter than th? <br /> existing slope on the westerly boundary (currently barren). The pit fioc r <br /> will slope gently to the west contouring erosion. <br /> Item m - The excavated material will be processed on site into road constructiu., <br /> and maintenance materials. his processing will include crushing, <br /> screening, and kw in portable crushing and <br /> screening plants will be used to process the material into road base and <br /> paving products. No permanent crushing or paving plant is anticipated. <br /> Item n - Not applicable <br /> Item o - Not applicable <br />
