5. The applicant states on the application form that there are 120 acres encompassing the permit azea. <br />A review of the Division's files finds a much larger area, approximately 340.661 acres. Please indicate the pit mining slopes and the direction of mining on one of the exhibits. <br />7. Please provide additional detail and designs on construction of the compacted clay liner and slurry <br />wall. In particuiaz, please further explain the key dimensions of the clay liner, depth of the slurry <br />wall and how the shiny wall will be constructed around the gas/oil lines and wells. <br />8. A review of the Reclamation Plan Maps and text provided by the operator indicates that the lake <br />edge is 150 feet from the south bank of the St. Vrain River (approved under AM-02). The exact <br />location of the slurry wall and compacted liner between the lake edge and the south bank of the river <br />is unlmown. Please provide a structural analysis that verifies the minimum width or buffer of soil <br />needed on either side of the slurry wall and compacted clay liner to provide adequate support during <br />saturated soil conditions, as well as under a rapid drawdown scenario. <br />9. The applicant notes that a perimeter drain will be installed azound the lined pits. Please provide <br />additional detail and the construction designs of the drain and locate the drain on one of the exhibits. <br />10. Please state if the seed mixture to be used for the site will be the same as previously approved, or if it <br />will be revised. The approved plan calls for the planting of trees and shrubs azound the reclaimed <br />pond slopes, which may affect the integrity of the liners. Please state if the seed mixture will be <br />revised and if so please provide a revised seed mixture, rate of seed in and application method. <br />
