The developer of Cedar Heights
committed to installation oP all drainage facilities as one of the conditions oP
' approval of the subdivision. All above referenced facilities except the two 30"
culverts on the access road were subsequently installed. The proposed 24"
' culvert was installed at a slightly different location. A second culvert, 24" in
size, to drain the North side of the access road, was installed near the
' Security gate and drained across the road to the 54" culvert. All culverts
were found to be Corrugated Steel Pipes (CSP) in fair to poor condition, lil:ely
due to lack of maintenance since installation.
The CAP for the quarry access road includes a hydrologic re-evaluation of
' the Snyder Fork subbasin in accordance with current City/County Drainage
Criteria (October 1987). The new hydrology was subsequently used to dev~:lop
t recommendations for stormwater facilities. A summary of the hydrolog;~ is
included in the Appendix. An "Area Drainage Plan" is included in the
Exhibits section for contributing minor watersheds within the Snyder fork
subbasin. This plan was developed from the Basin Master Plan.
The recommended stormwater facilities include a series of 6 culverts
ranging in size Prom 21"-36". Facilities are shown on the CAP drawings (2
' sheets) in the Exhibits section. A silt retention facility with outle~: is
proposed to be constructed just below the Visual Berm in the area of the Old
4
~J
