This application is provided in accordance with Rule 1.10, Amendment to Permds, of the Mineral Rules and <br />Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for the Extraction of Construction Materials; <br />August, 2001. <br />The applicanUoperator is Lafarge West, Inc. that obtained a Division of Minerals and Geology Succession of <br />Operator permit from Gypsum Ranch, LLC., during 2001 <br />This request is the first amendment to an e>asting 112 Regular Impact Operation Permit number M-98-014 <br />known as the Gypsum Ranch Pit. The eldsting operation is located one m ile east of Gypsum in Eagle County. <br />The amendment responds to inspection of the site by division personnel on March 20, 2002. <br />Major elements of the requested amendment include: <br />• An accurate representation of the ebsting activities, which have occurred on the property since <br />1998. <br />• "Day lighting" the mining region north of the ebsting staging area. <br />• E~randing the permit boundary by 34.63 acres. <br />• The elimination of any stormwater discharges from disturbed areas on the property. <br />• Total disturbed area will increase by 12.6 acres or a 9 percent increase above the ebsting <br />permitted disturbed area. <br />• Phasing and the mabmum amount of disturbance at any given time will remain unchanged. <br />• The post mine land use will remain unchanged as: "General Agriculture". <br />Rev. 08!10(03 <br />01!12/04 <br />01/27/04 <br />1- <br />
