REVISIONS TO EXHIBIT C
In order to gain an understanding of the extent of the mining operation, it is helpful to know the acres
disturbed by different aspects of the mining operation. Each aspect is listed in the following table with
associated disturbed area. The table illustrates a point in time when the mining disturbance will be at its
maximum. This occurs during the mining of Cell 4, prior to mining in Cell 5. The mining disturbance
will be at its greatest when the southern portion of Ce114 has been mined out and the mining face is
nearing the northern portion of the cell. The exterior cell walls along the most southern portion of Ce114
will be backfilled and graded for creation of the groundwater lake. Backfilling will have begun in
portions of the cell further north. At this time, Cell 1 and Cell 3 will be backfilled with process fines and
excess overburden material, and topsoil grading and seeding will be complete. Partial backfilling of
Ce112 will have occurred adjacent to the South Platte River. The backfilled area will be graded and
seeded, but additional backfilling will still need to be done in anticipation of creating the final
groundwater lake. Portions of Cells 2 and 4 may also be in use as sedimentation basins.

As ect
Minin O eration Disturbed Area
acres
Minin Celll
A Backfilled area with potential reseeding, includes completed
sedimentation onds 25
Minin Cell2
B Area being backfilled, graded, and seeded, includes 1,700 ft of
3H:1 V side slo es for creation of oundwater lake 8
Minin Cell a
C Backfilled azea with potential reseeding, includes completed
sedimentation onds 12
Minin Cell o
D Stri ed overburden and to soil in antici ation of minin 10
E Area being backfilled, graded, and seeded, includes 1,100 ft of
3H:1 V side slo es for creation of oundwater lake
10
Minin Cell s
F Not disturbed 0
General As ects
G Roads and conve ors 1.0
H Process lant site, office, and scale house 18.0
TOTAL DISTURBED AREA 84
